What are "CSA Share Boxes"?

CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture" and is a mutually beneficial partnership between you and your local farmer/grower.  You are provided with a box or "share" full of fresh farm products each week throughout the program. It allows you to have fresh produce provided to you every single week during the program and you can eat it knowing exactly where that food was grown. This type of program also helps the farmer by paying upfront for the whole season and allowing them to plan accordingly.  CSA programs also "share" the risk and the reward of the growing season. If the crops are doing well, you may have a huge variety in your share boxes but if weather affects the growing season that may also affect the share boxes.  Think of the CSA option as a promise to your local farmer of your full commitment and support throughout the growing season.

How long does a CSA last?

Our CSA program at Treeline Acres lasts 12 weeks and goes from mid-June until mid-September. Specific dates and drop off/delivery days will be shared when the season gets closer.

How much food is in each "share"?

You have a choice between a full share and a half share provided each week. A full share box is about one bushel and is good for a family of 4-6 people. A half share is good for a household with 2-3 people.

What will I get in my share box each week?

Each week will provide a different variety of farm favorites but you can expect you will receive produce and fresh baked goods every single week. The amount and types of produce depends on a variety of factors including pests, weather, and overall quality of product we wish to provide to you. We also hope to provide produce that is new to you and your family along with tips and tricks on how to prepare our farm products so you receive a fun experience each week.
