Our Story
Planting our Brainerd Roots
Our family became a part of the Brainerd Lakes Area in 2020 at the very start of a global pandemic. After finding a little plot of land we knew we wanted to share it with our new community.
Our motto and the core of what we do is to "keep our land wild". We want our farm adventure to be the platform for educating others to buy local, be good stewards of the earth and stay connected to nature. We truly believe that our overall health and well-being stems from our connection to nature. Fueling our bodies with fresh food from our farm has been a joy and a privilege. Teaching our children how to respect nature plants seeds for the future. Showing our neighbors how to incorporate native plants into their landscape ensures habitats stay healthy.
We wanted to share our values with our new community. We hope our story, our experiences, and the fruits of our labor can be shared so that others may live happy and healthy lives. We are so grateful to be planted in a community that appreciates and supports our passion.

Thank you!

Our Mission
Sharing the beauty and bounty of nature.
Our mission at Treeline Acres, LLC is twofold. First, we strive to provide a farm for the residents of the Brainerd Lakes Area where they can experience unique connections to our earth. We want to share our own lived experiences and help others be good stewards of our natural resources while also providing local goods for convenience and quality. Secondly, we make it a rule to only partake in responsible farming in order to protect the environment. Our amazing farm is exactly what you and your family need to stay connect to the earth. Love and Learn
Providing lasting experiences
We want to provide fun experiences for the entire family so that kids (and adults) of all ages can stay curious about nature and strive to protect it. When you visit the farm you will nuzzle noses with alpacas, let goats nibble from your hand, learn about solar energy, and see how native plants enhance the landscape. Every step on our farm is another learning experience and another step in the right direction.
FAQs
Does Treeline Acres use pesticides or chemical fertilizers?
We do not use any chemical pesticides or fertilizers on our vegetable plants. We do use a granular organic fertilizer on our annual flowers but take care that it does not cross with our vegetables. Vegetables are grown in a formula of our own compost and sprayed with a homemade liquid compost part way through the growing season. This liquid compost is composed of food scraps and composted manure from our own animals.
Are you a certified organic farm?
We have chosen to not receive a USDA organic certification because we believe there are still some applications and practices labeled as “organic” that are not safe for farm. We classify ourselves as “beyond organic” and chose not to apply any synthetic applications to our consumable plants and foods.
How do you incorporate native plants into your farm?
A part of keeping our farm wild means incorporating native plant species whenever possible. We take advantage of the annual Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District’s tree sale every year and have planted hundreds of conifers and hardwoods around our property to promote habitat for wildlife. We have also planted several species of wildflower including those that attract beneficial insects. Soon, we hope to create demonstration plantings in the areas around the greenhouse so that others can be inspired by native plantings too.
Does Treeline Acres use solar energy?
Yes, we installed a solar array in 2022 to help offset our carbon footprint and save costs on utilities. Our solar array is located just behind our greenhouse and faces south for optimal exposure.
