When
I started shopping for a yearling halter mare we exhausted
ourselves looking for just the right one. I wanted a paint
mare that was absolutely gorgeous and deserving of crossing
with our QH stallion, Cooler.
I had to be sure that she could achieve an impressive show
record so her babies would want to follow in her hoofprints. I
was fully expecting to go home without a filly but we had one
more stop at Athens, Texas to make. Pulled in from the pasture
to greet us winter hair & all, I took one look at Candy
and knew she was going to come home with me. I had found my
mare!
